Leading in Fertility
Monday, 13 August 2018

Fertility is improving at a rate of 1% per decade across all dairy breeds in New Zealand, and Holstein Friesians have the steepest rate of improvement. The higher the fertility percentage, the higher the chance of the dam calving within the first 42 days of the planned start of calving. Currently on the RAS list, the top fertility bull, Busy Brook WTP Vector S3F, stands at 0.5% ahead of all other bulls.
